Brainscape makes it easy for flashcard creators to invite collaborators to their Class and edit the flashcards together. However, sometimes you might just want to create a duplicate version of another user's flashcards so you can edit your own version.
To do this, simply navigate to the selected Class on your My Classes screen, and click or tap the menu button near the Class title. In the drop-down menu, you should see an option that says "Duplicate Class".
Choosing this option will kick off the copying process on our database, in the background. This could take seconds, or several minutes, depending on the size of the Class (especially if there are lots of images and sounds). When this is done, you should receive an email to the address associated with your Brainscape account, and you can refresh the screen to see your own version of the Class, with the word "COPY" next to its title.
This new version will be fully editable, and you will be named as its creator. You will now have the ability to invite your own collaborators and adjust their editing permissions.
*Note: The "Duplicate Class" option is not available for Brainscape-Certified classes, due to copyright concerns with our publishing partners.
