Once you feel that you've created enough Decks and Flashcards to be "presentable" to your friends, classmates, or students, you can start sharing the Class to the people who will be studying it. And the best part is that you can continue to add & edit Flashcards even after others have started studying. All content edits are visible in real-time, both on the website and via the Brainscape mobile app(s).
There are several ways to invite other users to a Brainscape Class:
-
Share Via Email -- This allows you to generate an official email invitation for each friend you want to invite. Users will get the invite to your Class whether or not they already have a Brainscape account. To invite via email, simply click "Share Class" on the Class screen (or in the Class's "Learners" tab in the mobile app), and choose the Email option.
Note: the Share icon is the second from the left under the class header.
- Share URL -- This allows you to copy a link and distribute it however you want -- e.g. via SMS, Facebook, Twitter, email, or posted on your class website. To find your free Class link, click "Share Class" on the Class screen (or in the Class's "Learners" tab in the mobile app), and choose the URL option.
- Enterprise Setup -- This method is for schools or companies who have published group license for Brainscape Pro. We can create a secure sign-up page for your users, and we can even bulk-create hundreds of accounts for you. [Learn more about the benefits of Enterprise accounts. If you already have an enterprise account, here are instructions for inviting students.]
In each of these methods, the learners in your Class will be able to access your flashcards on either the Brainscape website or the mobile app (once they've claimed access on the website). All they have to do is log into the Brainscape iOS or Android app with the same account credentials, and all their content and study progress should remain in sync.
Also, note that any newly invited users will have "Study" access to the Class by default (but not "Edit" access). You can easily mark them as a collaborator after they have joined. See the Managing Permissions section for more detail.
