Once you have other people joining your Class, you'll want to ensure that everyone has the right permissions. Tailoring the right collaborative environment for your purposes is one of the big advantages of using Brainscape.
A Class has the following permissions options for each user:
- Admin -- Reserved for the creator, and anyone else who is allowed to adjust user permissions and Class privacy settings
- Edit -- Given to anyone who needs the ability to create or edit flashcards. Be careful with this setting!
- Full Study -- Can only study flashcards and suggest edits
- Preview -- Can only study one deck before needing to upgrade to Pro. [See "Earning Money from My Flashcards"]
You can easily change your users' permissions by navigating to the Learners tab of your Class, on the website. On the web use the drop down next to the permission to edit appropriately. Remember, only the Admin of the class can make these updates.
Right now editing user permissions is only available on the web, but please make sure you are getting the latest app updates so you have access to the latest and greatest mobile features.
Still have questions and can't find the answer? Be sure to email our Tech Support Team (support@brainscape.com).
If you'd love to vote for a new Brainscape feature, see what others are requesting, or get a sneak peek at features in our pipeline, please check out Brainscape User Feature Requests Forum! Please choose to Sign in with Brainscape (if you are commenting/requesting a new feature) so any feedback is tied to your account. Or you can even access the tool from our web/mobile menus which won't require you to login separately.
(Hint: to save time, search first to see if your desired feature is already in the list so you can just vote/comment.)
