What does it mean to be a Brainscape Authorized Creator?

Brainscape works with many established e-learning organizations, as well as those just starting out their business as an e-learning entrepreneur, tutor, or just really avid creator.  Here's a quick overview, or read below to learn more.

Who qualifies?

If you have created flashcards in Brainscape and you believe that there is an audience who would upgrade to study your materials, Brainscape has a perfect program: the Authorized Creator program.  This is a great fit if you:

• Have a network of peers or colleagues who you think would be interested in studying your work;
• Would prefer to monetize your flashcards instead of sharing for free;
• Know that there are a lot of people discovering your flashcards in the public market and you'd like to monetize that discovery;
• Do not have an established website or e-commerce site to market your flashcards;
• Are just starting your business
• Interested into putting effort into sharing your amazing flashcards.

In other words, you may not have an established e-commerce site or webpage, however you may really take price in your flashcard content and believe that your cards would be a helpful study guide for many learners.

What are some things I should know about this program?

1. You need to be 18 to join
2. You need to be a Pro user before you can claim your subscription earnings
3. You need to share a Preview link to your material (don't share for free if you want to monetize)
4. Your class can either be private or public
5. Brainscape has agreed to pay partners 50% of the Net Revenues from the initial purchase of users who buy Brainscape Pro to study your class.  Revenues can not be collected on subsequent purchases by users. Only applicable for new subscriptions, upon their first subscription to Brainscape.
6. You will receive an individual earnings dashboard so you can track upgrades and earnings *Full details about requesting earnings, payment process, etc. are in the Terms.
7. Content can't be copied and you can't make money from sharing one of Brainscape's Certified Courses.

Tips for success

• Market your class on your website, social media pages, or any other forums where those studying your coursework convene. --->Remember to refer to #3 above and only share a Preview link.
• Follow Brainscape's content creation guidelines for creating top notch content that will help your learners succeed.
• Remember that Brainscape allows all users to preview 10% of the decks in a BCC or user generated class (if they don't have Pro). This is a service to allow preview access to see if a class upgrade is of interest.  So, be strategic about the content in your first deck. 
  • Here's a tip:  include a sampling of your content in the first deck (maybe title it as 'Demo Deck'), enough for a user to be able to see the high quality content and a sample of what they can expect if they upgrade.  It is always a good practice to create more than one deck anyway for the optimal study experience.
• If you are interested in finding ways to ensure your coursework will come up in search results, read this article for best practices.
• Share the brain science behind why Brainscape is so effective for studying and why it has helped you achieve success.
• Explain the other value your learners will receive when upgrading to Pro for your flashcards (access to Brainscape Certified Classes, the ability to create flashcards with AI tools, add images/audio, etc)
