Is there a difference between Pro for Teachers and Pro for Students?

Great question.  We are glad you asked!  The simple answer is, “no”.

The great thing about Brainscape is that anyone can use our tool for free, regardless if you are a teacher, student, professional, or a life-long learner: it doesn’t matter and everyone has access to many great features, and the powerful spaced repetition that makes Brainscape so effective.  

If you want advanced study or editing access, the ability to make your class private, access to Brainscape certified content or user-generated classes, you have the ability to upgrade to Pro.  For a complete list of Pro features, click here. There is ONLY ONE PRO level, so it makes it simple.  

If you are interested in purchasing a license, that means you are essentially purchasing Pro access for a group of learners in bulk.  You can purchase for all the teachers in your school so they have access to Pro and then share with their students for free.  Or you can decide that you want the material kept private, so everyone that is creating and studying that material should have Pro and the features that come along with this upgrade.  If you are confused about what one Pro account gets you vs. the whole group having access to Pro, click here.

Please note even if you're a teacher with a Pro account it doesn't mean your students need pro necessarily. If you're looking to keep your class private as an example every learner in the class will require Pro access.  However, as the owner of a Brainscape class, you have “Admin” rights to that class and can view the study metrics of your students, only share study permissions with your students so that it can’t be edited, etc.  That “Admin” access is associated with being the class creator and has nothing to do with the fact that you are a teacher with Pro.
