  Here is my Mexican Telenovela on what brought me to Brainscape: I’m nearly 70 years old, have always had poor rote memory skills, and I’m now studying post-graduate level Medieval Philosophy.

  That requires me to memorize a lot of terminology in four ancient languages Arab, Hebrew, Greek and Latin. Plus, terminology in several modern languages such as French, German, and English. On top of that all my textbooks are in Spanish.

  I was overwhelmed, and nearly gave up. However, thanks to Brainscape, I have gone from saying “No way; I can’t do this!” to knowing “OMG! It actually works!”

  I came to Brainscape through the 3Plus1 German Academy. I wish that I had access to the Brainscape learning techniques when I was at university in the 1960s. So much time was lost. Learning some German this year was a way of keeping a old brain alive and a mental health exercise during the Covid Lock Downs. The flash cards were very useful in reviewing the vocabulary and pronunciation.

  I have passed on your web site detail to others in the family, but I don't know if they have not availed themselves with the techniques. If not, more fool them.

  I--more than anything--am just living for the article recommendations by Brainscape Academy because it tremendously helps me pinpoint the specific weaknesses I have and what I need to do to strengthen myself. I was also using the flashcard feature to study English vocab terms.
