How do I create a Class?

OVERVIEW

You can easily create a Class from either the Brainscape website or via our mobile apps (available for both iOS and Android), from the main My Classes screen.

ON THE WEB:

At the top of the Classes list on the left side of the screen, simply tap the "+" icon at the top.

ON MOBILE APPS:

In the iOS or Android app, simply tap the "+" icon at the top or  bottom of the My Classes screen.  (Make sure you’ve gone out to the App Store, and that you have the latest version of the mobile app.  You don’t want to miss the exciting updates!)

Once you have indicated that you wish to create a Class, you will be prompted to name the class. Some examples are "Biology 101", "Notes from To Kill a Mockingbird", or "The Menu at Applebee's". Your Class will be the main container for all the Decks of flashcards that pertain to that particular subject.

You can create/edit your class icon by hovering over the icon from our website and tapping the "pencil" icon. You can then select an icon from file library, ideally one that renders well as a square. We recommend a 1:1 aspect ratio common sizes that we find look great are 1024x1024 or 1920x1920.  If you require additional image guidelines, read more here.

You can invite students to your Class whenever you feel that it is ready for them to study (or to collaboratively add their own cards).
