SUMMARYWe've heard from many teachers that they'd like to mirror decks when duplicating a class. In other words, they want to make edits to cards in one place and have those changes appear everywhere the decks have been copied. This feature is called "mirroring." The Brainscape team has now made this possible.
When you open the class options menu, you'll see an option to 'Mirror Decks to a new Class.'
HOW DO I DO THIS?Here are the easy steps to mirror all of the decks in a class when duplicating a class
- From the Class Options Menu, choose: Mirror Decks to New Class.
- Rename your new class if you so desire.
- Voila - the new class with mirrored decks have been copied! You will need to enter some housekeeping about this Class (like you do for every class you create).
Edit Decks in any Class, and changes will update all versions of those Decks. You can add new Decks to existing or new Classes, and those changes will appear in one place unless you mirror the new Deck.
-->Keep in mind that this action is only available to Pro Admins of the particular class.
HOW DO EDITS WORK?Editing a card in a mirrored deck updates all instances of that card.
Afterward, creating a new deck in a mirrored class will make it appear only in that class.
You'll need to add learners to the new class and track which classes share mirrored decks.
New decks added to classes aren't mirrored unless you choose to mirror them.
